Kitten Reservation Process
At Marble City Maine Coons, we provide regular updates on kitten development and begin posting about our kittens around week 10. This ensures prospective owners have meaningful insight into each kitten and are genuinely prepared to offer a loving, permanent home.
Our phased approach allows you to build a connection over time, while also ensuring that every applicant is informed, intentional, and aligned with the responsibilities of owning a Maine Coon.
Below is our step-by-step process designed to create a smooth, transparent, and elevated experience:
1. PICK Your Purr’fect Kitten
Explore our website and social platforms to view available kittens.
Each kitten profile includes detailed information such as:

Name, age, and gender

Color and coat type

Personality traits
We encourage you to take your time selecting the kitten that best fits your lifestyle.
2. SUBMIT Your Kitten Inquiry
Once you’ve found your kitten, complete the Kitten Inquiry Form.
Please include:

Name, email, and phone number (double-check for accuracy)

Any questions or notes you’d like us to review
3. AWAIT Initial Response
We review all inquiries within 24–48 hours.
If the kitten is available, we will contact you via email with next steps.
4. COMPLETE the Kitten Application
Once you decide to move forward, MCMC will send you our Kitten Application upon request.
This step ensures:

Confidence for both you and MCMC
5. APPLICATION REVIEW & APPROVAL
Applications are reviewed within 24–48 hours.
If approved:

You will receive an Approval Email (required to proceed)

We will schedule a live connection (phone, FaceTime, Zoom, etc.)
Please Note:
Approval is not guaranteed. MCMC reserves the right to request additional information to ensure the best placement for our kittens.
6. RESERVATION & NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT
To reserve your kitten, a $1,000 non-refundable deposit is required.

7. CONTRACT & CONFIRMATION
Once your deposit is received:

Your kitten is officially reserved

You will receive the MCMC Kitten Contract
You will have 48 hours to review and sign.

Remaining balance is due at:

8. FINALIZE & PREPARE
Before pickup or delivery, we may request:

Adolescent Kitten Reservation Process
Adolescent Kitten Reservation & Placement Process
At Marble City Maine Coons, we take great care in matching our adolescent kittens and young adults with loving, long-term homes. We believe this process should be transparent, respectful, and focused on the best possible outcome for both you and your future companion.
1. CHOOSE Your Match - Start by browsing our Adolescent Kittens page. Each cat has a profile with age, color, temperament, and personality traits, so you can choose a cat that best fits your home and lifestyle.
2. SUBMIT the Inquiry Form - Once you’ve identified a kitten you’re interested in, complete the Inquiry Form with accurate contact information and any questions you have.
3. We respond to inquiries promptly — typically within 24–48 hours. If the kitten is available and your inquiry aligns well with that cat, we will reach out via email to discuss next steps.
4. COMPLETE the Application - After initial contact, you may request our Application to move forward. Completing the application allows us to confirm that adopting an adolescent Maine Coon is a good fit for your household and expectations.
NOTE: Submitting an application does not guarantee approval.
5. APPLICATION Review & Live CONVERSATION - Applications are reviewed within 24–48 hours. An official APPROVAL EMAIL is required before any reservation is accepted. Once approved, we will schedule a live conversation (by phone, FaceTime, Zoom, etc.) — this is a required step before a reservation is confirmed. No exceptions.
Approval is discretionary, and MCMC may request additional information to make the best placement decision for our cats.
6. RESERVATION & NON-REFUNDABLE Deposit - To reserve your approved adolescent kitten, a $1,000 non-refundable deposit is required. This amount will be applied toward the kitten’s total fee. Instructions for secure payment will be provided. All deposits are non-refundable.
7. Adolescent Kitten CONTRACT & CONFIRMATION - Once the deposit is received:

We will send the Kitten Contract for your review and signature (We use DocuSign).

You will have 48 hours to return the signed contract.
If the contract is not returned within this window, we may release the placement and consider the kitten available again.
The remaining balance (minus the deposit) is due at pickup or prior to delivery. Delivery costs are not included. +*
8. FINAL DETAILS & Pickup/Delivery
Before your kitten goes home, we may ask for additional documentation such as proof of identity or residence. We will also discuss your preferred arrangement for kitten pickup or safe transport.
