Kitten Reservation Process

MCMC will give regular updates on kitten development and open our Kitten Application around week #10, ensuring potential owners have enough information about the kittens and are genuinely interested in providing a forever home. Our phased approach, with updates and gradually increasing information about the kittens, allows prospective owners to develop a connection with the kittens over time. This Process also ensures that those who apply are well-informed about the responsibilities and requirements of caring for a Maine Coon kitten. Below, we outline the steps to ensure a smooth and fulfilling experience:

PICK Your Purr'fect Kitten: Explore our website and social media sites and browse our Kittens. Each kitten has its profile with detailed information, including name, age, gender, color, and personality traits. We encourage you to take the time to find the kitten that best matches your preferences and lifestyle.

SUBMIT Your Kitten Inquiry Once you have found the kitten you are interested in, fill out the Kitten Inquiry. Here, you will provide all relevant information, including your name, email address, and phone number (please double-check your entry for errors before submitting), and feel free to ask any questions. Click the "Submit" button to send your inquiry.

AWAIT Our Response We will review your inquiry promptly, typically within 24-48 hours. If the kitten you are interested in is available, we will contact you via email to discuss the next steps.

COMPLETE the kitten Application If you decide to move forward with reserving the kitten and the Kitten Inquiry is submitted, and Marble City Maine Coons have responded. MCMC will then send you our Kitten Application at your request. This Process adds a sense of security for you as the potential owner and the kitten. This confirms that individuals or families are committed to acquiring one of our kittens.

If selected, a subsequent email will be sent with instructions on the next steps, making the Process to ownership organized and transparent.

We prioritize the well-being of your Maine Coon kittens and are dedicated to finding suitable and loving homes for them. Marble City Maine Coons want to provide this approach to help create a positive experience for you, the responsible, respectful, and ethical applicant and potential owner, and more importantly, the kittens!

AWAIT Our Response We'll promptly review your Kitten Application, typically within 24-48 hours. If the kitten you are interested in is available and a positive fit for your home, we will contact you via email to discuss the next steps. You MUST receive an APPROVAL email. Once contacted, MCMC will collaborate with you, the prospective owner, on a suitable time to connect live, whether by phone, Facetime, Zoom, or other. MCMC will connect before moving forward.

NOTE: This does not guarantee a kitten. Marble City Maine Coons reserve the right to request further information/explanation if necessary for our decision-making.

MCMC will connect with you before moving forward. NO EXCEPTIONS.

RESERVATION and Deposit: When reserving a kitten, MCMC requires a $1,000.00 nonrefundable deposit to reserve the chosen kitten. This Deposit is applied towards the total contracted fee. We will provide you with instructions on how to make the Deposit securely. THIS IS A NONREFUNDABLE DEPOSIT.

Once you have reserved your kitten and submitted your nonrefundable Deposit, MCMC will send you the Kitten Contract.

CONTRACT "Kitten Contract" and Confirmation of Reservation Once the Deposit is secured, we will reserve the kitten and send the prospective applicant the Kitten Contract for signing. We leave this step open for 48 hours to ensure sufficient review of the kitten Contract. Once the contract is signed and in the possession of Marble City Maine Coons, the total remaining balance (less the Deposit) is due at pickup or before delivery (delivery costs are NOT INCLUDED).

NOTE: If you feel you cannot comply with the provisions outlined here, please do not waste your time or ours in moving forward. If MCMC does not respond within 48 hours, we will assume you have abandoned the Process and consider the kitten available to reserve. Again, the Deposit is NONREFUNDABLE!

FINALIZE the Process Before finalizing, we may ask for additional information from you, such as proof of identity and residence. We will also discuss arrangements for picking up your kitten or shipping options.

CONGRATULATIONS! You are now the purr-oud owner of a gorgeous Maine Coon kitten. We will provide lifelong guidance and support to ensure a smooth transition for you and your new MCMC kitten!

Adolescent Kitten Reservation Process

Adolescent Kitten Reservation & Placement Process

At Marble City Maine Coons, we take great care in matching our adolescent kittens and young adults with loving, long-term homes. We believe this process should be transparent, respectful, and focused on the best possible outcome for both you and your future companion.

1. CHOOSE Your Match

Start by browsing our Adolescent Kittens page. Each cat has a profile with age, color, temperament, and personality traits, so you can choose a cat that best fits your home and lifestyle.

2. SUBMIT the Inquiry Form

Once you’ve identified a kitten you’re interested in, complete the Inquiry Form with accurate contact information and any questions you have.

We respond to inquiries promptly — typically within 24–48 hours. If the kitten is available and your inquiry aligns well with that cat, we will reach out via email to discuss next steps.

4. COMPLETE the Application

After initial contact, you may request our Application to move forward. Completing the application allows us to confirm that adopting an adolescent Maine Coon is a good fit for your household and expectations.

NOTE: Submitting an application does not guarantee approval.

5. APPLICATION Review & Live CONVERSATION

Applications are reviewed within 24–48 hours. An official APPROVAL EMAIL is required before any reservation is accepted. Once approved, we will schedule a live conversation (by phone, FaceTime, Zoom, etc.) — this is a required step before a reservation is confirmed. No exceptions.

Approval is discretionary, and MCMC may request additional information to make the best placement decision for our cats.

6. RESERVATION & NON-REFUNDABLE Deposit

To reserve your approved adolescent kitten, a $1,000 non-refundable deposit is required. This amount will be applied toward the kitten’s total fee. Instructions for secure payment will be provided. All deposits are non-refundable.

7. Adolescent Kitten CONTRACT & CONFIRMATION

Once the deposit is received:

We will send the Kitten Contract for your review and signature (We use DocuSign).
You will have 48 hours to return the signed contract.
If the contract is not returned within this window, we may release the placement and consider the kitten available again.

The remaining balance (minus the deposit) is due at pickup or prior to delivery. Delivery costs are not included. +*

8. FINAL DETAILS & Pickup/Delivery

Before your kitten goes home, we may ask for additional documentation such as proof of identity or residence. We will also discuss your preferred arrangement for kitten pickup or safe transport.
